This was one of the first commercials I scored in my career, and still my favorite.  I actually pre-scored the spot after a meeting with the director and looking at his  hand drawn storyboards, which were gorgeous.  
 
The singer, Heather Williams,  was a woman whom I had met through a mutual friend, and she went on to sing on several spots for me but this was our first collaboration. Her haunting vocals were almost entirely improvised.
 
I won a MoMa/ASCAP award for this music the first year they were issued.
 
The instrumentation was fairly simple;  my old Prophet 5 playing the string pads, and a sampled dulcimer that I recorded working on an album for The Swimming Pool Q’s.
