Title: Â âOlympic Gloryâ
Â
This piece was a milestone in my career. Â It was only the second time I would be working with a symphony orchestra, and due to the logistics it was decided that we should record this at the legendary Abbey Road studios in London.
Â
Being a huge Beatles fan this was almost unimaginable, but we did it, and it came out beautifully. Â We had 87 musicians in the massive Studio One and the first time they played through this piece I felt like I was in some strange dream. Â
Â
My dear friend Bill Myers did the fantastic arrangement for me.
Â
Michael Taylor, an incredible musician from Ireland, played the panpipes.
